Little pun'kin!!
A few of weeks ago I, along with my colleagues, had a chance to throw a baby shower for one of my ESL women, Erina. It was a time of celebration because the baby boy, whose name is Junior, has finally arrived and more importantly to show Erina the value of life of this little one. So we came with gifts, refreshments and words of advice and/or scripture for Erina as to raise her sons who loves Jesus passionately.

I gave Erina 2 warm pajamas because winter is upon us in South Africa. I also gave her diapers. In the township they only use cloth. I bought some diapers because I figure she is not using diapers because she doesn't prefer them, but because they are too expensive. I'm sure if she doesn't care for them, she can find someone who does! ;)

The women in the picture above are all women that attend my ESL class every week. When I got back from London, Victoria and Elinda where there at Lembrassa's. I honestly thought that they were there at the wrong place at the wrong time, but I invited them to join and so they did. Maybe that was the only invite that was needed, because they have faithfully been coming every week since and I have thoroughly enjoyed having them as an addition to my class!
Here is the faithful crew that goes with me every week, sharing the Good News and discipleship in this township called Zin Zella. Please ask for the Father's continued favor as we share light in a dark place: "Light arises in the darkness for the upright; He is gracious and compassionate and righteous." Psalm 112:4
Please also continuing to pray for Erina and her living situation. She is living with her boyfriend and she relies on him for her provision- literally, her very sustenance. As you can read from a previous blog, that's one of the reasons I entered into the picture and specifically teaching ESL. The boyfriend has been drinking a lot at other friends places and has been abusive towards her again. It's so hard because you feel helpless for her and don't know what to do and how much to give of time and resources. The pastor at the church in the township is trying to intervene and talk to her boyfriend, so ask for wisdom and discernment for the pastor, Chris. Last Thursday, Erina's countenance was happy, so we pray that things are already getting better. It has been fun seeing that Erina is learning and helping the two new students, since they have come in a little late and we can't afford to start over. I can sense that she is "getting" it and reached a new level. Let me tell you, it is only by His grace because my sister is the teacher in the family, not me! ;)
"Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude."
Colossians 2:6-7
I want my life to be flowing with an attitude of gratitude towards my Lord, Jesus Christ. How could I not? He has given me abundant life and it is my prayer that I clearly represent Him in every area of my daily life of what He did on the cross on my behalf.

PRECIOUS. :) Junior is SO stinkin' cute!!! Praise Him for protecting that little one from the womb and bringing him safely into the African sunshine! And praise Him for providing you and your beautiful, compassionate spirit to minister to Erina and Lembrassa and so many others (including yours truly). Love you TONS!
