Autumn in March

It was definitely a weird sensation while getting out of my car for church and seeing the falling of the leaves and the temperature getting slightly cooler at the end of March. Though in the States people are enjoying the blooming of Spring (especially in East Texas where azaleas, dogwoods, wisteria and blue bonnets abound), in South Africa, autumn is just upon us. The mix up of seasons is definitely something to get used to, though I'd confidently say that I have not mixed winter at all, but it's coming! ;)

Yellow leaves always make me think of Kelsey :)

While the falling of leaves was still on my mind, we read this in church today:

1Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb,
2in the middle of its street On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Absolutely beautiful!! I love this vivid imagery of the tree of life being the balm to the gathering of the nations of all the pain and persecution that has and will be afflicted until His ultimate and sure return. I long for this day when all of creation is made whole as it should have always been and suffering will be no more, and His promise, "Surely, I am coming quickly." Even so, come, Lord J*sus!

Suzu, you are SO precious. :) I'm so glad you have yellow leaves there. His love is so good. :) And He's good in you, friend.

"Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude."
Colossians 2:6-7
I want my life to be flowing with an attitude of gratitude towards my Lord, Jesus Christ. How could I not? He has given me abundant life and it is my prayer that I clearly represent Him in every area of my daily life of what He did on the cross on my behalf.
